We love and enjoy the time we get to spend with horses. As part of the crew, you will likely be spending a good part of your stay at Steens Mountain Guest Ranch on horseback. And we aim to help you have a safe and memorable experience with your horse. As such, we offer a “Learnin’ to Ride” class for everyone. This will cover the very basics of horse safety—how to saddle, ride and Que (communicate with) your horse. We want everyone to be comfortable and confident on his or her horse mount.
